Who am I? ¿Quién soy? Kuka olen?
For the past 20 years I have been living in Finland (Helsinki and then Espoo). I make art, design, and research. I am also a professor at the Media Lab Helsinki. You can see: Systems of Representation for examples of research and design works done during the years 2010-2013, such as the VR installation of the Finnish Pavilion at the 1900 World Fair in Paris, or the 3D historical reconstruction of the Vrouw Maria underwater heritage site.
Here is a visualization (the drawing is also by me) for a proposal I did in 2008 for the Media Metronome installation. In those days it would have been a struggle to pull this one through. However, the materials in the forms of OLEDs are now easily available to create this.

Above I display two images of a photographic series I have been working On and Off about interaction, objects, and energy.
About this blog…
This is my blog. It has No Name. Initially, it was created as a means of self-expression. I wanted to share information related to three areas that I am passionate about: Art, anthropology and design from the multicultural perspective of someone who has grown, lived, and been an active participant in the cultures of countries as diverse as Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the United States, Spain, and now Finland. I am now also including items related to my research and teaching at Aalto University.
