Akseli Gallen-Kallela\u2019s digital phonebook Haloo Akseli!<\/em> opened to the public in February. In Gallen-Kallela Museum\u2019s & Medialab\u2019s Theme Day Haloo Akseli \u2013 This Is Tarvasp\u00e4\u00e4!<\/em> we continue to collect material for the archive with the help of digGLAM digitizing robot. At the same time we\u2019ll discuss the ideas behind the project: in panel discussion Art, Archives & Commons<\/em> we talk about digital archives and the objectives, aims and future of making archives open. <\/p>\n

Photos, postcards or stories connected to Akseli Gallen-Kallela, his contemporaries, or Tarvasp\u00e4\u00e4 region – visitors are invited to bring material to the Haloo Akseli!<\/em> web archive. During the Theme Day we\u2019ll also hear local memories of the Tarvasp\u00e4\u00e4 region and get a guided tour to the exhibition How Many Gallen-Kallela Paintings of the Same Name?<\/em> In children\u2019s workshop My Places<\/em> everyone gets to make their own map based on memories.<\/p>\n

Free entrance to anyone who brings a photo, story or other memory to the Haloo Akseli<\/em> archive!<\/p>\n
